Sweat Gland Distribution Lab

This is a short lab where students use Lugol's Iodine and bond paper (not regular paper) to detect the number of sweat glands on a square centimeter surface of their skin. The lab is designed to compare the palm of the hand and the skin of the forearm.

Essential concepts: Skin, integumentary system, epidermis, dermis, sweat glands, pores.
