Purpose: PhET is a collection of interactive simulations published by the University of Colorado Boulder, most of which center around concepts of physics and chemistry. In this simulation, students will visualize the changes in the kinetic energy (movement) of particles of different elements and compounds as they are heated and cooled through their three phases.
Essential Concepts: Heat, temperature, phase change, states of matter.
