Environmental Science Writing Prompt
Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts
This is a short activity I use following a showing of one of the episodes of the BBC reality show "Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts." The series follows wealthy British young people as they travel to the countries where their clothing is made -- from harvesting the cotton to actually producing the clothes.
I don't know of any full episodes online, but the BBC has a series of clips taken from different episodes of the show.
Essential concepts: Environmental ethics, developed countries, developing countries, treatment of workers, environmental costs.
